About this program

Toshiba America Foundation awards grants of up to $5,000 to middle and high school teachers with innovative project-based STEM ideas for their classrooms. Teachers apply online, and grants are made to the school, not to individuals. Projects must take place during the school day with measurable outcomes. Not for computer hardware (laptops, desktops, tablets), audio-visual equipment, books or textbooks, microscopes, salaries, conferences, or summer, club and after-school programs. One grant per school at a time. Applications are reviewed four times a year, with deadlines on March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1. Allowable uses: project-based STEM learning projects during the school day. The funder states the deadline as "December 1, 2026. Later deadlines are March 1, June 1 and September 1, 2027. Decisions by January 15 for the December round.". Verify details on the funder's own page before applying.
