About this program

The North Carolina Science Teachers Association helps members pay for study classes, conferences and workshops. If selected, NCSTA pays up to one half of your expenses, up to a limit the NCSTA board sets each year. Apply before the study takes place. Graduate courses taken toward a degree are not eligible. Applicants must have been NCSTA members for at least one year and must not have received this grant in the past three years, and winners share what they learned in The Reflector and at the NCSTA Professional Development Institute. Deadlines are March 1 and September 1. Allowable uses: up to half of the cost of study classes, conferences or workshops, not graduate courses toward a degree. The funder states the deadline as "March 1, 2027 (spring round). The next fall deadline is September 1, 2027. Apply before your scheduled study; decisions take 4 to 6 weeks.". Verify details on the funder's own page before applying.
