About this program
The North Carolina Science Teachers Association awards grants of up to $1,000 for supplies, materials, equipment, printing, travel and other costs of an innovative curriculum project that involves students in a unique way. Applicants must have been NCSTA members for at least one year and must not have received this grant in the past three years. Funds cannot pay for student field trips. Winners write a summary article for The Reflector and present at the NCSTA Professional Development Institute. Grants are reviewed twice a year, with deadlines on March 1 and September 1. Allowable uses: supplies, materials, equipment, printing, travel and other project expenses, not student field trips. The funder states the deadline as "March 1, 2027 (spring round). The next fall deadline is September 1, 2027. Decisions take 4 to 6 weeks.". Verify details on the funder's own page before applying.
